During my mandate as Executive Director of the National Agency of Controlled Materials in the Republic of Argentina, I developed an agenda of public policies that promoted the gender perspective throughout the organization and in the strategic and operational planning that developed the concrete actions implemented territorially. The sectorial gender perspective agenda was coordinated with the National Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversities and it was incorporated in the public policies of arms control, arms export control, civilian disarmament and prevention of armed violence. These policy implementations and the subsequent results were presented in international forums and regimes, such as the Arms Trade Treaty and the UN Disarmament Agency, while the argentinean proposals for strengthening the export controls under a gender-violence prevention perspective were incorporated in the international agenda.
